Etihad Arena — Visitor Information
Answers to common questions about ordering, delivery, and attending events.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will my tickets be delivered?
Tickets are delivered no later than 2 days before the event date. Tickets are delivered as mobile tickets via a ticketing app. In rare cases, tickets may be provided as a PDF. Your booking confirmation reaches your email immediately after payment, and the tickets or instructions follow within that window before the event.
How do I get to Etihad Arena, and is parking available?
Etihad Arena sits on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, within the Yas Bay waterfront district. By car it is roughly 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and about 30 minutes from the city centre outside peak hours; visitors driving from Dubai should allow 50 to 60 minutes along the E11. Dedicated car parks serve the arena and the wider Yas Bay area on a first-come, first-served basis, with accessible bays close to the entrance. Taxis and ride-hailing apps such as Uber and Careem serve the island, and evening events fall close to peak traffic, so leave extra time.
What happens if an event is cancelled or rescheduled?
If the event is cancelled by the organiser and not rescheduled, a full refund will be issued. If the event is postponed to a new date, your tickets remain valid for the rescheduled fixture. Refund requests are handled through our support team — email support@etihadarenaabudhabi.com with your order details and we will confirm the next steps.
Which ticket categories can I choose from?
We offer access to all officially released ticket categories for the event, subject to availability. The exact set of categories differs from event to event, even at the same venue, and is confirmed by the organiser — the live listing on the site shows what is currently on sale.
Can I book several tickets in one order?
Yes — you can book multiple tickets together in a single order and checkout. Booking several places in the same category keeps a group together where availability allows, and the full set is delivered to the one email address used at checkout. For larger group or corporate requests, contact support@etihadarenaabudhabi.com before booking so we can confirm what is available and coordinate delivery.
Are food and drinks available inside Etihad Arena?
Etihad Arena has multiple food and beverage outlets on its concourses, ranging from quick snacks and soft drinks to more substantial meals. Food and drink brought from outside are generally not permitted. The Yas Bay waterfront immediately outside the arena has restaurants and cafés if you would rather eat before or after the show.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
In most cases tickets can be transferred to another person. The exact method depends on the ticketing platform used for delivery — some support direct in-app transfers, while others need coordination through our support team. If a transfer option is not obvious, email support@etihadarenaabudhabi.com with your order number and we will walk you through the available steps.
When do doors open, and how early should I arrive?
Doors usually open one to two hours before the advertised start time; the exact time is confirmed by the organiser and shown on your ticket. Present your mobile ticket at the gate directly from your phone with the screen brightness turned up. Arriving at least 60 minutes early leaves room to clear security and reach your place.
Can I cancel my order after payment?
All sales are final, so orders cannot generally be cancelled once payment is complete, because tickets are reserved or purchased for your specific order as soon as you pay. Cancellation requests are reviewed only case by case. If you need to raise one, contact support@etihadarenaabudhabi.com as early as possible with your order details, and we will tell you upfront what is possible.
What is the weather like in Abu Dhabi, and is there a dress code?
Etihad Arena is fully enclosed and air-conditioned, so the event itself is comfortable whatever the season. Abu Dhabi is warm year-round, with the cooler months from November to March the most pleasant for walking around Yas Island before or after a show. There is no formal dress code for most events; smart casual is the norm, modest dress is customary in the UAE, and a light layer is worth carrying because indoor air conditioning runs cool.
What items are not allowed at the venue?
Venues generally prohibit weapons, alcohol and food brought from outside, oversized bags, professional cameras with detachable lenses, recording equipment, laser pointers and any pyrotechnics. Security screening is carried out at every entrance, so travelling light speeds up entry. The definitive list is published by the venue for each event and takes precedence over any general guidance — check the venue's own rules for your date before you set out.
How do I reach your support team?
Our concierge team is available at support@etihadarenaabudhabi.com and responds to all inquiries within one business day. For time-sensitive matters close to the event, email remains the fastest channel.
